Dubai Marathon 2021: General Information

The most exciting event of Dubai : Dubai Marathon 2021 is back with a new schedule-timeline,  officially announced for all the participants. Dubai Marathon 2020 witnessed 30,000 participants and this time we are expecting a hike in this number.

The Dubai Marathon 2021 will be held on 24th January 2021. This event is organized under the administration of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon. The Dubai Marathon Prize money is around USD$20,000.

• This complete road race of Dubai Marathon 2021 will be 10km, starting from the point of Umm Suqeim Road, opposite to Madinat Jumeirah. The race will be crossing through the iconic Burj Al Arab.
• The finishing line of the Dubai Marathon race will be the location of the Dubai Police Academy at the end of the Umm Suqeim Road.
• The race will begin at 6:00 AM for the Wheelchair & Elites and 7.00 AM for the masses
• The 10km race will begin at 8:30 AM and 4km race will begin at 10:30 AM.
  

Dubai Marathon 2021:  Registration Process

I want to register for the Dubai Marathon race 2021? Please guide me, how to register?

In order to register yourself for Dubai Marathon 2021, sign in to the online application process at Official Website of Dubai Marathon.

• The applicants who are 18 years old can apply for the 42.195km marathon The race will begin at 7:00 AM. The registration cost is 150 USD.
• The applicants who are 15 years old can apply for the 10km marathon. The race start time will be 8:30 AM and the registration cost is 85 USD.
• The 4 km fun run marathon is open for all age groups and the race will be will be starting at 10:00 AM, registration cost is 50 USD

Marathon Course for Dubai Marathon 2021

The prime route of the Dubai Marathon race will be beginning from the point of Umm Suqeim Road, located at the Madinat Jumeirah. When making a turn at the left side, there comes the point of Al Sufouh. You will be overpassing the boundary of entering into Palm Island, located on the other side. You will also be crossing the points of Dubai Media City entrance line along with the U turning point at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi.

Afterwards, the runners will be getting back to the Al Sufouh, near the Madinat Jumeirah. Jumeirah Beach Road will also come in the way of  the runners, after which they will be crossing to the new bridge, located at the Creek. You need to take the U-turn to the Al Mehemal junction and then heading to the Madinat Jumeirah junction. The finishing line of the Dubai Marathon 2021 race is Dubai Police Academy.

Group Categories of Dubai Marathon 2021

Dubai Marathon 2021 has been categorized into two different categories:

• Corporate Challenge
• Team Challenge

Corporate Challenge

The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon introduced a marathon category named Corporate Challenge. In this category,  the employees from the different companies can participate. This challenge will give an golden opportunity to the employees giving them the freedom to participate in the race outside the office domain resulting in team spirit and motivation to work more passionately inside the office.

• If somebody wants to participate in this corporate challenge, the basic requirement is that they need to be an employee of a company.
• 3 participants from one company are allowed to register themselves for the 42K Race Marathon.
• For a 10K marathon race, 5 participants from one company can register themselves 
• This entire ‘corporate challenge’ registration process will be online.

Team Challenge

In the team challenge category, there will be large numbers in terms of members’ capacity. In this category, one member of each team will be chosen to participate in the marathon race. Three members of your team will be given an opportunity to complete the entire race.

Please Note: If any participant is not able to run due to any reason, their friends or family member cannot take their place and run on their behalf. If such things happens, you will be immediately disqualified and will be outlawed for the rest of your life to participate in the Dubai Marathon.

Final Say!

The registration process is still on its way! If you want to participate in Dubai Marathon 2021, you should apply through an online registration process. After making registrations about the members in the team challenge, it’s not possible to make any changes in it. Once the management team has calculated the participants, it cannot be changed later on.
